‘ Turnover is vanity, Profit is sanity, CASH is the reality’
Do you need a proven way to generate cash for your company?
A major complaint of many of the businesses we help is that they are under-financed. This is often true and happens for two reasons:
Small and medium sized firms are inherently riskier than the ‘big boys’, which limits investor appetite for committing money.
Most firms do not have the security they require to borrow the money they need.
If this is true for your business, it means that adequate positive cash flow is integral to the profitability and potential survival of your business. A business needs working capital in the form of cash to function. This thing called working capital is very important. It is the amount of money it takes to bridge the gap between when you have to pay for something to be produced and when you can collect the customer’s money.
Cash Builder identifies and releases cash from the five areas that it may be trapped in your business - we call these the 5 Cash Silos. Then goes on to look at other financing options.
External sources of funds
If cash is short we recommend looking internally at the business BEFORE seeking finance from external sources. The reason is simple, if a business is trading well it should be generating cash and if not, something is wrong somewhere. Injecting extra cash without curing the underlying problem simply... burns more cash.
However, if a proven business model needs expanding then borrowing for sales growth should be considered, on the basis that it will be used to roll out a proven business model more quickly than might otherwise be achieved.
We have access to a range of cash resources including invoiced based lending and Business Angel networks. Which is right for your business will require detailed review.

"Just to let you know that I am proud to announce our turnover went over the £200,000 mark last week at a profit margin of around 48%, and we are still pushing for 50%. We are now 60% towards our stretch target of £340,000 this financial year with 6 months left to go. This is a great result which I would like to thank you for helping us with."
